On receipt of a completed registration form and £20 registration fee, your name will be placed on the waiting list according to your requested start date. You will be notified a half term before you are due to start, but we are usually able to give you some indication of availability of places well in advance of this.

Occasionally we may be requested by another professional body to take a child whom they think would specifically benefit from our nursery. This child may then have to 'jump' the waiting list; otherwise children will be admitted by age and length of time on the waiting list.

Following the guidelines from the Children's Act 1989, the following ratios have been implemented:

1 member of staff to 4 children aged two to three.
1 member of staff to 8 children aged three to five.

At least 50 percent of all staff must be qualified, but here at Toddlers-In we aim as high as possible. At this time January 2010, 95 percent are qualified or training towards.

Staff are trained in First Aid and Safeguarding Children and update this regularly.

The principal and the Administrator are not included in the staff ratios, which enables the staff to care for the children without the burden of administration, shopping, cleaning etc, etc. This is also useful at extra busy times when another pair of hands is essential!
